Get Involved

The #1 thing you can do to help is to get involved.

Here are just some of the ways you can get involved:
  • Volunteer at your local family violence shelter.
  • Contact your legislators to let them know that
    you care about family violence.
  • Join your local family violence task force.
Task forces are interdisciplinary community groups that devise ways to increase victim safety and offender accountability. Task forces put into place a “coordinated community response” to the problem of family violence. Task force work has resulted in decreased domestic violence homicides across the country. Anyone who wants to make a difference can join!

Working together, task forces engage in…

  • Public awareness events
  • Teen dating violence education
  • Fatality reviews
  • Protocol development and signing

  • and much more.

If you want to be a part of the solution, break the silence and get involved. Find out how by contacting us:
